RJC and Siemens celebrated a successful REB skate at the soon to be opened new Oxford Parkway station last weekend. Using brand new skating techniques on the day, RJC were able to skate the building into place comfortably within the allotted shift time.
The REB was loaded 15 miles away in Bicester using an RJC 100 tonne/metre heavy lifting lorry mounted crane onto a rail trailer which then transported the building to the skating team.
The building installation is part of Project Evergreen 3 which is part of a scheme to improve journey times into Marylebone from the Midlands. The station is due to open in October 2015.
